Our Story
Carmen Wageman is the founder of Stage Right, the largest home staging company in the Greater Toronto Area, which she built from a one‑woman operation into an industry leader. Over the past two decades, she has led the preparation of more than 10,000 homes, partnering with top‑performing agents to elevate how listings are brought to market.
Through this work, Carmen recognized a critical industry gap: while staging strongly influences buyer perception, many agents lack a clear, strategic framework for assessing a property and confidently guiding its preparation.
To address this, she founded Stage Right Academy — an agent‑focused program that reframes home preparation as a strategic discipline rather than a decorative service. Her methodology, grounded in buyer psychology, perception, and visual decision‑making, provides a repeatable system for identifying priorities, allocating budgets effectively, and making decisions that materially impact perceived value.
Carmen challenges the assumption that spending more on staging automatically produces better results. Without a strategic foundation — particularly around scale, balance, and visual weight— staging can fall short or even work against a listing. Her work demonstrates that intentional, well‑directed presentation consistently delivers stronger outcomes, often with the same or smaller budgets.
